My Name is Laura

I'm a wife and mother. My 4 kids call me "Mom" and my 8 grandkids call me "Nani". Well, the ones old enough to speak, anyway.

I love my home. Not because it's grand or modern or professionally decorated, but because it's mine. It reflects me, the things that I like and who I am. It's comfortable.

My favorite place is in the kitchen. Baking, cooking and preparing food for family and friends is what I enjoy. Best of all, I love doughnut day; a Chirstmas tradition when my children and granchildren gather around the kitchen to make and decorate homemade, delicious doughnuts.

Through this blog, I'll share with you my handcrafted home projects, family traditions and the food made in my kitchen. Check back often... I'll soon be offering cooking classes in my home, featuring recipes from the restaurant I owned, as well as new creations.
